Web Development for Healthcare

Websites for Healthcare Practices

A practice website carries obligations most sites never think about. It needs to be accessible, because healthcare is where the accessibility demand letters actually arrive. Its analytics need a deliberate privacy decision, because default tag installs on condition pages create exposure. And it still has to do the commercial job: convince a nervous patient this is the right practice and make booking effortless.

Why this is different

What changes at this scale

Accessibility is table stakes, not a feature

Healthcare sites are prime targets for accessibility complaints, and a meaningful share of patients genuinely need it. We build against WCAG 2.2 AA from the first template and verify at build time, rather than bolting on an overlay widget that fixes nothing.

Privacy decisions are made, not defaulted

What analytics run, what they capture and where it goes are decided deliberately and documented for your counsel. A pixel that is harmless on a bakery site is a disclosure question on a page about a condition.

Structure follows how patients search

Service lines in patient language, insurance and cost pages that answer the real first questions, and a provider page per clinician with credentials and schema. This is also exactly the structure that ranks.

Booking friction is measured, then removed

Whether it is a widget, a portal or a phone number, the path to an appointment gets instrumented and shortened. A beautiful site with a six-field pre-registration form in front of booking quietly loses patients every day.

Questions

Common questions

Does the site need to be HIPAA compliant?

The site itself is mostly a privacy and disclosure question rather than a HIPAA certification, but anything that collects patient information, forms, chat, booking, has to be handled properly, and analytics on health pages need a deliberate decision. We build to the conservative reading, document every data flow, and hand your counsel a clear list instead of a shrug.

Can we keep our patient portal and EHR booking?

Yes. The site links into whatever system the practice runs; we are not replacing clinical infrastructure. What we do change is the path to it: patients should reach booking in one obvious step from any page, and that step gets tracked so you know which pages and channels actually fill the schedule.

What about before-and-after photos and testimonials?

Useful and regulated. Patient images need documented consent, testimonial rules vary by state and specialty, and some boards restrict them outright. We flag every instance for your compliance review rather than assuming, and the site is built so removing or swapping one never requires a developer.
