Websites for Home Services Companies
A home services website has one job: get the visitor to call. It gets read on a phone, often outdoors, by someone comparing three companies in five minutes, and every second of load time and every step between landing and dialling costs jobs. We build these sites fast, direct and boring in the best sense, with the tracking underneath so you know which channel produced every call.
What changes at this scale
Mobile is not a version, it is the site
Most home services traffic is a phone, frequently on a weak connection. The build targets sub-second paint on mid-range mobile, with a tap-to-call that is always one thumb away, because that is the whole conversion path.
One page per job type
Water heater replacement, drain clearing, repipe. Each job type gets its own page with its own proof and its own search intent, which is what lets the site rank for the work you actually want and lets your ads land somewhere specific.
Proof beats polish
Real photos of real jobs, real reviews, license numbers, actual service area. Stock photography of smiling models in clean overalls is a trust tax. The gallery and review pipeline are part of the build, not an afterthought.
Calls are wired for attribution from launch
Dynamic number insertion goes in at build time, so from the first day of traffic you know whether a call came from organic, ads or the profile. Retrofitting this later means months of unattributed history.
Everything you get
- Static build with sub-second mobile load as a hard budget
- Job type pages with real photos, pricing context and FAQs
- Service area pages for areas you genuinely work
- Tap-to-call everywhere, with dynamic number insertion
- Review display pulled from your real Google reviews
- Forms that reach your CRM or phone in seconds, with spam filtering
- LocalBusiness and Service structured data
- Redirect map from the old site so rankings survive the move
Common questions
Do we really need a page per service?
If you want to rank for the service, yes. A plumber with one services page competes for nothing specific; a plumber with a water heater page, a drain page and a repipe page competes for each of those searches with a page built for it. It also gives your ads somewhere relevant to land, which directly lowers what you pay per click.
What does a contractor site cost to run after launch?
Very little, which is a deliberate feature of the static build. There is no WordPress to patch weekly, no plugin stack to break, and hosting a static site costs a few dollars a month. Ongoing cost is content changes, which we handle as same-day change requests, and whatever marketing you run into it.
Can you make our existing WordPress site faster instead?
Sometimes, and we will tell you honestly which side your site is on. If the theme and page builder are the bottleneck, optimisation plugins are a bandage on a structural problem and a rebuild is cheaper than the drip of fixes. If the site is fundamentally sound, we tune it and move the budget to traffic instead.
